A very wet and windy day with torrential rain at times.

The weather forecast for the Cannock Chase and surrounding area, Wednesday 25th April. A deep low pressure system is moving through the country from the south-west, bringing very unsettled weather conditions.

The morning starts off  wet and breezy. The rain will become heavy and torrential  at times, with the risk of hail and thunder. The winds will increase in speed and will be gale force at times with  gusts over 35 mph. The high of the day will be 11 c .

During the evening the persistent rain will turn showery and will continue throughout the night. It will be mild around 8 c. We can expect around 30 mm of rain.

Outlook for Thursday, bright spells with heavy rain showers.
